"das schlafmagazin" awards a Somnus to Weinmann

Somnus prize for innovations in sleep medicine

das schlafmagazin has named Weinmann, along with the company Lattoflex, the "medical technology company of the year". The trade journal presented the Somnus prize to Weinmann at its annual convention in Filderstadt on 15 November. "The devices and achievements in sleep medicine are significant for affected patients," according to a statement by the jury.  

"We are very honored," said Detlef Röseler, head of the Business Unit Homecare, who accepted the publication's award at the convention. "This prize is very special because it praises our work from the perspective of those who use our devices night after night."   

The patient magazine das schlafmagazin has awarded the Somnus every year since 1995 in the categories Technical Innovation, Self-help Group Leader of the Year and Sleep Specialist of the Year. 

The award is named for Somnus, the god of sleep in Roman mythology.
